We are a congregation of believers who are in the process of learning to follow the Lord Jesus Christ faithfully. We are united by our realization that all people need a relationship with God and with other people. We understand that God the Father has provided the answer in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ and His Church. Our mission is to demonstrate God's love by connecting people to Christ and one another. We seek to provide a loving environment in which to grow in our faith and live the Christian life.
Jesus said to his followers, "You are the light of the world." We as members of Pearce Baptist Church desire to be lights that shine brightly in a world that is often dark. Our ministries are designed to connect people to the Light of the world, Jesus, so that all people around us might see Him clearly through our lives. We hope you'll come and visit us to learn how you might be connected to Jesus.
Mark Cottrell was born and raised in Southern Arkansas. He placed his faith in the Lord Jesus at around age 6, surrendered his life to follow Jesus at age 14, and was called into full-time Christian service at about age 16. He studied Bible and Theology at the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, and served as a church planter in a suburb of Paris, France for two years. He served as Youth Pastor at Harmony Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas and then at Pearce Baptist Church while completing his Master of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. He was called to be the pastor of Pearce Baptist Church in 1997. He is married to Paige Bailey of Wake Forest and they have three adult children: Caleb, Grace and Silas. Mark’s desire is to see Jesus lifted up and drawing the people of the Pearces community and the surrounding area to follow Him and live together in loving community.
Ben began serving at Pearce Baptist Church in June 2022. He has earned his undergraduate degree in Pastoral Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and will graduate with his Master's of Divinity in December 2022. He and his wife Emily both currently serve in the youth and children's ministries, seeking to equip the next generation of students to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as to equip parents to disciple their children and incorporate biblical principles into their parenting. Ben and Emily live in Wake Forest with their two birds, and they enjoy reading and hiking.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
At our church you will find people in their "Sunday Best" sitting next to people in jeans. Dressed up or dressed down, we are more concerned with meeting you than what you wear!
Our service starts at 11 AM every Sunday morning and runs for about an hour. You can expect to see people of all different backgrounds and ages.
We present a gospel-centered message along with singing, scripture reading, and prayer.
Please stop by to see us!
Here at Pearce Baptist, we encourage children to take part in the worship service. Kids bulletins are provided to help your child engage with the sermon material and understand what is being taught.
